Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope this email finds you and your family well.

A few updates for you:

Potentially Re-Opening

Parents of Year 10 and Year 12 students will be receiving a questionnaire that will enable us to determine what provision we can offer when we are allowed to open. The questionnaire also explains the type of activities that we will try and offer. Clearly, the school will only open if it is felt it is safe for both students and staff. The initial proposed date is 1st June but this may change depending on the scientific evidence and we will wait for the Government to give the final confirmation of the date in due course.

We are having to collate a significant amount of information before finalising the plans, so again, I would ask for your patience whilst we are putting this information together.

Work Experience

Clearly, it is necessary to cancel the work experience for our Year 10 students this year, due to safety reasons. We are looking at other opportunities for students in Year 10 to access information about the world of work and contact will be made with Year 10 in due course.

Y11 and Y13 Proms

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the Proms as based on the information from the Government, we will not be in a position to have large gatherings on the dates the events were scheduled to take place. We will now start the process of giving refunds to parents as necessary. It is hoped in the future that we will arrange celebration events for both year groups when we are able to do so.

We will also be looking at how we can refund any money that is left on dinner cards for these year groups, but please be patient as we have a skeleton finance team working at the moment.

Year 8 Parents' Evening

The only year group in school that did not have a parents' evening this year was Year 8. If you would like any information about how well your child has done this year, please contact the teachers direct using the email contact list previously circulated. If your require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the school reception and we will help to resolve any issues.

School Uniform

We have had a number of parents contact us about school uniform. Our uniform provider Gogna will be providing us with information about how uniforms can be purchased online and they are still looking to arrange selling uniform in school in the summer holidays.

Website

We are aware that a significant amount of information has been sent out to parents via email. We will be creating a section on the school website where we will put a copy of information that we have and will be sending out.
