Quality of Education Workshops

Our ‘Quality of Education Workshop Evening’ is designed to support parents and carers to support their child’s academic study, emotional wellbeing and promote their safety. On the evening, parents/carers are invited to arrive from 3.30pm and will have opportunity to visit a number of stalls set up in our canteen from 3.30-4pm prior to the main workshops starting. These stalls will remain open throughout the evening for parents/carers to drop in for advice, support and additional signposting. The following colleagues and services will be hosting stalls on the evening:

Community Involvement: Chesterfield Football Club
Other services have also been invited to the event

At 4pm, parents/carers will have the opportunity to attend 4 workshops delivered by school colleagues and external agencies.
Each workshop will last 25 minutes. Details of each provider is shown below:

Supporting Your Child’s Mental Health and Well Being: Mr H Newton (School Psychologist)
How Do Students Learn?: Mrs C Banks (Assistant Headteacher: Teaching and Learning)
Keeping Your Child Safe: Community Safety on Darker Nights: PC Marshall and PC Marsh, Youth Engagement Team, Derbyshire Constabulary
Get Involved at Chesterfield Football Club: Youth Engagement Projects: James Aspinall, Chesterfield Football Club
Risk Awareness for Young People (Vaping and Alcohol): Karen Perryman, Talkabout Trust – Live Streamed Workshop
