EDUQAS GCSE Media Studies
Additional information of use to students/parents during study
The course is based around a series of set texts that are available to view on the EDUQAS website. There are two exams that will draw on some but not all of the set texts, which you will study in detail over the two years. This is 70% of the total mark.
All support materials are provided on the EDUQAS website along with sample assessment materials and textual analysis.
There is also a coursework component (30%) that is based on a series of briefs provided by the exam board. You can choose which brief to do and have the freedom to create your own media productions.
