This GCSE qualification involves the study of three components.
- Component 1: Religious, Philosophical and Ethical Studies in the Modern World which involves the study of four themes: human relationships, life and death, good and evil and human rights.
- Component 2: Study of Christianity
- Component 3: Study of Islam.
Students will grapple with many of life’s ‘big’ ethical questions and explore the philosophical meaning behind religious beliefs and practices. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of philosophy, ethics and religious belief. The course promotes critical thinking, empathy and problem-solving.

This A Level qualification involves the study of four components.
- Epistemology
- Moral philosophy
- Metaphysics of God
- Metaphysics of mind
Philosophy is the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence and explores questions such as: ‘What can we know?’, ‘What do concepts such as good, bad, right or wrong really mean?’ Students will also examine whether the concept of God is incoherent.
