Careers Curriculum
The careers curriculum at Netherthorpe has been specifically designed to give you (the students) the opportunity to explore different career ideas, whilst considering the choices and pathways available to you at key points in your education. You will receive careers information through timetabled PSHE lessons, personal development form time activities, and careers drop-down events each year, along with the opportunity to take part in trips and activities that allow you to engage with employers and educational providers.

How and when is careers support offered?
Every student will receive at least one careers interview before the end of Year 11, with these usually taking place at the end of Year 10 or start of Year 11. However, SEND and PP students will be provided with additional interviews and careers guidance (particularly at KS4), should they require it. Students in the Sixth Form will also receive a careers interview before the end of Year 13.
Students and parents can request a careers appointment at any time, all you need to do is email the school: info@netherthorpe-mlt.co.uk
