Welcome to Netherthorpe Sixth Form
In the Pursuit of Excellence – Better never stops.
We are an inclusive, welcoming and warm Sixth Form with a variety of academic and vocation A levels on offer.
Netherthorpe Sixth Form is proud to celebrate four consecutive years of improvement in both student attainment and progress, with our 2026 results reaching their highest level in more than a decade. Our vocational qualifications place us amongst the top 20% of sixth forms nationally, including independent schools, while many of our A Level subjects achieve outcomes within the top 25% nationally, with several performing in the top 5%.
We offer a broad and ambitious curriculum that opens doors to a wide range of future pathways. Our students regularly progress to leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge, as well as highly competitive courses such as Medicine, Veterinary Science and Law. We are equally proud of our success in supporting students into prestigious Degree Apprenticeships with organisations including Rolls-Royce, National Grid, BAE Systems and Kier Construction, helping them take the next step towards successful and rewarding careers.
