Entry Requirements
To ensure you’re well-prepared for the demands of Sixth Form study, applicants must meet the following minimum entry criteria:
- At least 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above, including English or Maths.
- You must also achieve a suitable average grade from your best 8 subjects, including English Language and Maths. This average will determine which route you’re eligible for.
Routes
We offer a variety of routes to suit different academic strengths and goals:
1. Standard Academic Route – 3 A Levels
Requires an average grade of 5.0 or above.
Some A Levels may require higher subject-specific grades.
You must meet the entry criteria for each individual subject.
2. Extended Academic Route – 4 A Levels
Also requires an average of 5.0 or higher.
You must explain your reasons for choosing 4 A Levels during your application meeting.
3. Hybrid Route – A Levels & Vocational Courses
Designed for students with an average grade between 4.0 and 5.0.
Combines traditional A Levels with Level 3 vocational qualifications.
4. Vocational Route
Focuses entirely on Level 3 vocational qualifications.
Available to students who meet the minimum entry requirements.
Subject Specific Entry Criteria
Each subject has its own entry requirements. In most cases, you’ll need at least a Grade 5 in that subject (or a closely related one) at GCSE. If you’re unsure about the requirements for a particular course, please contact us — we’re happy to help clarify.
