Mr C Lindley
Safeguarding and Inclusion manager and Designated Deputy Safeguarding Lead (DDSL)
I am part of the Safeguarding Team here at Netherthorpe School and am here to support students and their families. My passion for safeguarding young people started when I ran workshops in Nottinghamshire schools with a touring Theatre Company, delivering packages on substance misuse and Child Sexual Exploitation. From this I then spent time counselling students at Chesterfield College, as well as spending 11 years in a senior role at two residential children’s homes. It was at these homes where I became a Designated Safeguarding Lead. Having worked for over a decade with some of the most vulnerable young people, I am confident in my ability to build positive relationships with students, whilst also delivering helpful resources and advice on an array of subjects. I will strive to deliver information to all year groups on important topics, around student wellbeing and safety. This will include targeted workshops, as well as organising relevant events and social groups.
