Netherthorpe School is celebrating an excellent set of GCSE results, with students achieving the school’s strongest outcomes since joining Minerva Learning Trust and demonstrating significant improvement across key measures.
The results reflect the hard work, dedication and resilience shown by students throughout their time at Netherthorpe, supported by staff, families and the wider school community. They also highlight the school’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that every student is equipped with the knowledge, skills and support needed to succeed.
Continued Improvement Across the School
This year’s results demonstrate impressive progress compared with 2025, including:
- Attainment 8 improving from 4.2 to 4.32
- Grade 9-5 results increasing by 7%
- Continued improvement in outcomes for vulnerable pupils
- The school’s best GCSE results since joining Minerva Learning Trust
- A record number of students progressing to A Levels, T Levels, apprenticeships and vocational pathways
These achievements reflect both academic excellence and a determination from students to make the most of every opportunity available to them.

Many will continue their studies at Netherthorpe Sixth Form, while others will move on to T Levels, apprenticeships, vocational qualifications and other exciting pathways.
